But with unpredictable hours, like the "it’s too early” 4 am calls, the 3-11 pm constant "breaking news" shifts, and working weekends, dating "normally" was not in the script. And when it came to love? Let’s just say, I was way off the mark.

The body image challenges since my silver-capped front teeth days? Been there, done that. The yo-yo dieting that began when people started saying, “You’d be perfect if you just lost weight” at age 15. Check. I get you. I've been in your designer jeans.
So, what shifted? Two life-altering epiphanies. The first: I'd rather be alone than unhappy in a shitty relationship. The second: The next man in my life would adore every inch and essence of me. You know what? It worked! Soon afterward, I met the man I had been dreaming of and now we've been loving each other and loving our life together for more than 35 years. That's right, over three glorious decades of ridiculously happy, fun, love-filled living.
